Pierluigi Giorgi (professional photographer) and the ICCD (Central Institute for Cataloging and Documentation - MIBACT) chaired by the architect Carlo Birrozzi are carrying out unprecedented work on the Italian coast.
The project aims to perform a series of photographic shots from the sea towards the coast line to create photographic documentation and data acquisition on the Italian coasts, covering a route by sea that circumnavigates them at a distance of about 300 meters from the shoreline. After taking a series of shots in some stretches of the Italian coast, the attention was concentrated on the coast line of the Marche region. A fundamental step was the photographic campaign relating to the Marche.
It is a series of photographic images composed in a long strip that will represent the coastline and with single images that will form a portfolio.
This artistic-conceptual work aims to be a tool to collect and activate landscape and cultural protection actions.
